Meet Senorita Cifaldi
About Me...
I am one of the Spanish teachers at both Symons Elementary and Milan Middle School. This is my fourth year in the Milan Area School District. I love working in such a great place. The students are bright and caring. The parents are involved and supportive. The staff is dedicated and experienced. Here is a little more about me.
Born: Michigan 1977
High School: Plymouth Canton Class of 1996
College: Western Michigan University Class of 2001 (Masters Degree 2006)
Study Abroad: University of Salamanca, Spain 1998-1999 (where I met my future husband)
Student Teaching: Livonia Public Schools, 6th grade all subjects 2001

Subjects/Grade Levels: Here in Milan I have taught K-5 Spanish as well as 4th Grade. I taught 5th and 6th Spanish in the Ferndale Pubic Schools from 2002 to 2008. With a team of professionals, I helped create the current Ferndale elementary Spanish curriculum. Before that I taught K-6 Spanish at a charter school in Detroit.
Family Life: I am married with three children. Our son, Leo, is a third grader at Symons. Our daughter, Julia, is in first grade at Paddock. Our youngest, Antonio, is a year and a half old. We are all fluent Spanish speakers and return to Spain regularly to visit friends and family.
Hobbies: I love any excuse to bring together family, friends and food. I like to cook, garden, swim and scrapbook. This summer we took a roadtrip to Pennsylvania, New York City, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. We also like to spend many days at Lake Michigan camping.
